Counselling & CBT
LJ Counselling & Wellbeing MBACP, PG Dip CYP
Whatever is causing your storm counselling can help. Available for adults, children & young people, families and couples, I am registered and or accreditated with British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP) .
Life is a rollercoaster! Sometimes it's plain sailing, you are enjoying the cruise surrounded by your loved ones. The warmth of the sun on your skin and the freshness of the breeze through your hair one minute then suddenly storm clouds begin to gather. The sky gets darker and darker, the waves are larger and seemingly endless. The wind is growing stronger taking you in all directions. To stay safe you need to head for shore and anchor down. Perhaps the lighthouse on the shore can guide you towards that safety.
Counselling and CBT can offer that safe place in which to explore your stormy skies. A lighthouse or the safe haven of the harbour counselling offers a therapeutic, non-judgemental space to help you navigate yourself through the thunder and lightning to calmer seas.
Who is LJ Counselling & Wellbeing?
I am an ethical, compassionate, and trustworthy counsellor offering a safe therapeutic environment in which to explore your experiences and concerns.
Counselling for me has been an incredible journey of self-awareness and growth. Using my experiences, techniques, and knowledge gained through study I believe I can offer a unique perspective on the counselling process.
As a Person-Centered counsellor, my clients are in control of their therapeutic journey. Building a trusting, non-judgmental relationship in a safe space is an important part of the counselling practice. To complement and enhance this process I integrate methods from Humanistic, Psycho-dynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Life coaching.
Finding solutions and identifying ways of dealing with anxieties and concerns come from the exploration of your thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and experiences.
Lifestyle choices can hugely affect our mental, emotional and physical selves. With a wealth of experience gained within the health & fitness industry as a coach, I offer the opportunity to draw from this to add extra insight into your sessions.
Relaxed, open-minded, and compassionate I can offer a confidential and safe environment in which to explore. Regular reviews will allow us to develop strategies and ensure the therapy is reaching your expectations.
As an Accredited Member of the BACP (registration number 744440) I adhere to high professional and ethical standards, therefore, attending regular monthly supervision and continual professional development.
